#BioSecureFacility | Department of Agriculture (DA) turned-over the first bio-secure and climate-controlled swine finisher operation facility in Region 12.
Amounting to PhP5.5-million, DA and other government officials inaugurated the project today, October 10, in Brgy. Labu-o, Pres. Roxas, Cotabato.
Said multi-million facility was given to Sta. Catalina Multi-purpose Cooperative and equipped with perimeter fences, foot baths, disinfection chambers, and quarantine areas to prevent the entry of any hog diseases.
This intervention is funded under the DA’s Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) Program and part of the repopulation efforts of the agency to revive the region’s hog industry.
