#DAF2C2SelectedClusters | The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 12 through the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) program recently concluded a comprehensive video documentation initiative showcasing the achievements of their selected clusters. Spanning from March 12 to April 12, 2024, this endeavor aimed to spotlight the progress and challenges faced by clusters located in Surallah, Banga, Polomolok in South Cotabato and Pres. Roxas in the Cotabato Province.
Among the clusters featured were the Surallah Vegetable Integrated Farmer’s Cluster (SURVIFC), Surallah Banga Communal Irrigators Association, Inc. (SURBACIA), Sitio Basag IP Agriculture Cooperative of Pres. Roxas, and Tibud sa Katibawasan MPC in Polomolok. Each of these clusters specializes in various agricultural endeavors, including the production of vegetables, cocoa, standing crops, and livestock and the establishment of irrigation systems to enhance farming processes.
The video documentation aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of each association, including their history, goals, challenges, and the ways in which the DA-F2C2 program has facilitated linkages with markets, organizations, and agencies. Through the support of the program, these clusters have not only overcome obstacles but have also expanded their product range and profitability, ensuring long-term sustainability and prosperity for the local agricultural sector.
