In a bid to address current concerns within the agricultural and fisheries sectors, the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII conducted its third Regional Management Committee (RMC) Meeting for CY 2024 on July 29, 2024 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The meeting focused on updates, including the impacts of African Swine Fever (ASF) and related interventions, the 2023 fisheries performance and its effects on the industry, and market trends for fruits and vegetables. Additionally, discussions highlighted measures for coffee enhancement and alternative irrigation solutions to improve rice production.
The agenda also covered the branding and distribution of seeds, coordination with local government units (LGUs), and the integration of learning sites into ATI project proposals. The activity aims to refine programs and services to better support food security and agricultural productivity in the region.
