#AgriTayoSOXNews | The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office XII, through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), launched the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Program to boost youth participation in agriculture and agri-fishery enterprises.

Structured as a competition, the program provides financial and technical support to young farmers with the most innovative agribusiness proposals. In the provincial-level contest, 9 out of 42 participants from South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat presented their business models for evaluation and judges assessed feasibility, sustainability, and innovation in order to select level 1 winners, whom each will receive Php80,000 in seed capital to launch their ventures.

The program’s next phase includes business implementation, monitoring, and mentorship, with DA-RFO XII AMAD continuing to provide guidance and support to the young agripreneurs.
