#FarmersDay | The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII, through the Disaster Risk Reduction Management program (DRRM), conducted an aid distribution amounting to more than 2 million pesos in support to 116 farmers affected by the Low-Pressure Area/Shearline calamity that occurred last November 2022 to March 2023.
Goats, horses, cattle, carabaos, planting materials, and inorganic fertilizers were handed over to the beneficiaries last July 11, 2024 in Malungon and Alabel in Sarangani Province, which will significantly help in rebuilding their livelihoods.
This support came from the Calamity Fund of the DA-RFO XII and a part of the Farmer’s Day and Agro-Trade Fair 2024 with the theme: “Magsasaka’t Mangingisdang Pilipino, Saludo ang Buong Bansa sa Sipag, Tibay at Lakas Niyo”.
