The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) SOCCSKSARGEN held a one-day Accredited Safety Dispenser (ASD) Training in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato on March 21, 2024, to guarantee the safe and responsible distribution of fertilizers and pesticides in the market.
Fifty-one (51) participated in the event which are storekeepers from several agro-dealers in four provinces in Region XII, as well as business owners, branch managers, and branch in-charges.
The training’s main goal was to arm participants with fundamental knowledge regarding fertilizers and pesticides. It covered subjects like soil fertility, plant nutrition, general pesticide information, and laws and policies controlling the sale of pesticides. The instruction also covered how to handle, store, and dispense these agricultural supplies properly.
The training was led by Regional Officer, Romeo Val R. Suguitan Jr. along with Provincial Officers, Maricel P. Tabigue, Jennie M. Basilio, Cherubin M. Alonzo, and Joey B. Pascua.
