#SagipSakaAct | Participants from the Mindanao Clusters took part in a five-day Orientation and Workshop on the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Program (FFEDP) under the Sagip Saka Act (R.A. 11321), held from June 23 to 27, 2025 in General Santos City.
The Sagip Saka Act (RA 11321) is a law that supports farmers and fisherfolk by helping them access markets, resources, and support services. It promotes their development as entrepreneurs through enterprise support, direct market linkages, and government-private sector partnerships to improve their income and livelihood.
The FFEDP seeks to address these challenges by empowering farmers and fisherfolk not just as producers, but as entrepreneurs. It supports them in establishing and expanding their own enterprises, accessing direct markets, and becoming active participants in agri-fishery value chains.
During the workshop, participants were given in-depth presentations on key topics, including the overview and implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Sagip Saka Act (RA 11321), the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Information System (FFEDIS), the ACED implementation, and the F2C2 Program.
