According to Rodrigo S. Guillermo Jr., DA12 PRLEC-ELCAC Regional Focal Person in his message that this is the first time a Peace Builders will establish a cooperative. If they intend to establish an agriculture cooperative, DA RFO 12 is eager to assist them by first registering them with the RSBSA, which qualifies them for DA interventions. But first, they must talk to themselves and plan their course of action, he added.
In his message, Brigadier General Celestino F. Desamito, Jr. (retired), a PRLEC-ELCAC Advocate and Consultant, emphasized the importance of inclusive community development to ensure that everyone benefits.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo, a Peace Builder, urged his fellow Peace Builders to unite and focus on their goals so that their plan to establish a cooperative would succeed.
The pre-registration seminar was conducted by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) team, which was led by CDA 12 Director Juriski B. Mangelen while other PRLEC member agencies (NGAs and LGUs) will also extend interventions in accordance with their mandates to assist the Peace Builders as pilot beneficiaries of PRLEC-ELCAC initiatives.
