This activity was part of the culminating program of the Department of Agriculture 12’s month-long celebration of Filipino Food Month this April.
Five regional offices, which include the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources 12, National Economic and Development Authority 12, Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau 12, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology 12, Department of Education 12, prepared and showcased dishes with corn as the primary ingredient.
At the end of the contest, the DENR-EMB 12 was hailed as the 1st placer, BJMP 12 won the 2nd place and DepEd got the 3rd place.
Themed “Pagkaing sariling atin, mahalin at pagyamanin”, Filipino Food Month promotes the distinctiveness of Filipino cuisine and the identity of a place.
