More than 20 farmers received vegetable seeds and seedlings, fruit tree seedlings, bags of organic soil and other interventions. Said beneficiaries will embark on a Farmer’s Training Program and learn new technologies on urban farming under the DA’s Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture Program.
DA-12 Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Dr. Lorna Vilbar, who represented OIC-RED John B. Pascual, said that this endeavor is a big help for farmers in the community and will able them to become self-sufficient by equipping them with updated knowledge in agricultural technology.
