
#InPhotos | On April 22, 2025, Kidapawan City took center stage as national evaluators for the prestigious Gawad Saka 2025 arrived to assess Marissa T. Aton, one of the leading contenders for the Outstanding Agricultural Extension Manager category.
The evaluation team was led by Editha S. Vinuya of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), accompanied by Ramon A. Oliveros from the Philippine Association of Agriculturists Inc., and Christopher S. Llarenas of the Department of the Interior and Local Government. Supporting them were ATI Gawad Saka Central Office Secretaries Theresa Aurora B. Cosico, Kyle M. Katipunan, and Justine Anne C. Alcantara.
Together, they undertook a thorough review of Aton’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of local agriculture in Kidapawan.
As part of the evaluation, the team conducted site visits to several key agricultural facilities in the city, including the Organic Fermentation Farm, Fish Hatchery, and Rice-Processing Center. These visits formed a vital part of the comprehensive assessment of Aton’s initiatives and their impact on the community.
