πππ πππ§πππ§π ππ§ πππππ’π―ππ¬ ππ¨ πππ£ππππ’π¨π§ ππππππ« π ππ¨π« ππ¨ππ ππ«π¨π£πππ| Following the ceremonial awarding of No Objection Letter 1 (NOL 1) at the PRDP Mindanao Project Support Office, the Municipality of Tantangan, South Cotabato, becomes the second local government unit (LGU) in the province to receive a subproject under the PRDP Scale-Up.
The LGU of Tantangan will be implementing the βConcreting of NHW Jct.-Sitio El Ulit Farm-to-Market Roadβ subproject, a 3-kilometer road that will benefit around 1,000 households across Barangays Bukay and Pait.
In her message, Mayor Timee Joy T. Gonzales expressed how this road project will greatly improve the socio-economic conditions of the farmers and residents in the area.
βThis FMR project has been two years in the making and with the awarding of the No Objection Letter 1, we are finally seeing the light in its completion,β Mayor Gonzales said. βWe truly need this project to help our community, especially the farmers who require an accessible road from their farms to the market to reduce travel time and post-harvest losses.β
Compliance Officer Ralph L. Monday discussed key sections of the Implementation Management Agreement (IMA), which is one of the critical documents of the project. The IMA outlines the implementation arrangements and specific guidelines for PRDP-funded subprojects within the given period, including the schedule of fund releases and the submission of liquidation reports.
Procurement Unit Head Mary Nor Gonzales emphasized the procurement process and various compliance requirements. She also mentioned that the project would provide procurement training to ensure proper guidance.
In his closing message, PSO Mindanao Deputy Project Director Carlene C. Collado, CPA, congratulated LGU Tantangan for pushing forward with the project despite the challenges encountered over the past two years.
βAs part of our mandate to improve the lives of our farmers and fisherfolk, we must have a sense of urgency in completing this subproject on time,β said DPD Collado. βWe will assist you with all your technical needs, and I assure you that with your cooperation, this subproject will be implemented as planned. Again, congratulations.β
RPCO 12 I-BUILD Component Head Engr. Jocelyn F. Torres also affirmed RPCOβs commitment to continuously monitor the subproject and provide the necessary support.
The first ever ceremonial awarding of NOL 1 conducted at the Project Support Office in Davao City allowed the PSO Mindanao Team to meet with personally with the chief executives of recipient LGUs and implementation partners, a crucial step to ensuring project implementation success for the PRDP Scale-Up.
Under PRDP Scale-Up, it will highlight clustering and consolidation as a strategy, enhanced participation of the private sector, and climate resiliency of project interventions expanding on the interventions previously provided by the original PRDP. (ππ¨π² ππ¨π§. ππ¨π§πππππ₯π―π¨, πππ ππ’π§πππ§ππ¨)
