#RSBSARegion12 | LGUs in Region 12 Attend 3-Day RSBSAPP-LGU Training in Koronadal City

Local Government Units (LGUs) from various municipalities in Region 12 participated in a three-day training on the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture Profiling Platform for Local Government Units (RSBSAPP-LGU) held from June 3 to 5, 2025 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The training, spearheaded by the National Program Management Office (NPMO) through its Field Operations Service (FOS) and Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS), aimed to ensure the smooth implementation of the RSBSAPP-LGU system across the region. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural data management and improve the delivery of services to farmers.

Through the RSBSAPP-LGU system, LGUs will be able to efficiently update and verify farmers’ profiles, ensuring that agricultural data remains accurate, reliable, and up-to-date. This is expected to enhance planning and delivery of support programs tailored to the needs of farmers and fisherfolk in Region 12.

The NPMO-FOS team, composed of Kristelle Lorizz P. Cariño, Abegail D. Molde, and Vinz Albert G. Romero, led sessions on the processes of registration, updating, and verification of farmer profiles. Meanwhile, ICTS staff Brian Kently Ong and Al John Acal provided technical guidance on the RSBSAPP-LGU platform.

The training equipped designated LGU encoders and verifiers with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out profiling tasks effectively. Participants expressed optimism that the new system will significantly fast-track the registration and updating of farmers’ farm profiles, resulting in more efficient and targeted government support.

This collaborative training marked a crucial step toward building a responsive and data-driven agriculture sector in Region 12.
