
#PRDPNews | A signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP) was held earlier today, April 30, 2025, in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, with the aim to strengthen and modernize the province’s Tilapia and Abaca industries through targeted investments and sustainable development strategies.
The MOA signing marks a strategic collaboration between the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and the Provincial Government of South Cotabato.
Representatives from the aforementioned agencies emphasized that the initiative is a cornerstone for building resilient, income-generating opportunities for South Cotabato’s farming and fishing communities, laying the groundwork for long-term prosperity of the province. (Dann French
