Eight Proponent Groups (PGs) from the Mindanao Cluster are proudly showcasing their locally produced goods at the DA-PRDP Bazaar, an exhibit highlighting the milestones and achievements of the Department of Agricultureโ€™s Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP).

The exhibit, which runs from December 2 to December 6 at the DA Central Office in Quezon City is part of the 18th World Bank Implementation Support Mission (WB-ISM) for PRDP and the 3rd WB-ISM for the PRDP Scale-Up. It provides an opportunity for stakeholders to witness the transformative impact of the PRDP and celebrate its contributions to rural development.

World Bank Task Team Leader Mio Takada, European Union Delegation Program Manager Alix Wurdak, and DA-PRDP National Project Director Asec. U-Nichols A. Manalo visited the Mindanao Cluster booth, where they shared a cup of premium Mindanao coffee and sampled rich tablea and chocolate products.

The Mindanao Cluster PGs are presenting various high-quality products, including coffee and cacao, which reflect the regionโ€™s agricultural potential. The bazaar allows visitors to experience the distinct flavors and exceptional quality of Mindanaoโ€™s produce while offering a platform for the PGs to market their products and build networks.

The eight Proponent Groups representing the Mindanao Cluster include:

โ€ข Region 9: Dimataling KALIPI Federated Association (DIMKAFA)

and Brgy. Pantad Women Fisherfolks Association (BPWFA)

โ€ข Region 10: Agay-ayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMCI)

โ€ข Region 11: Maragusan Multipurpose Cooperative

โ€ข Region 12: Tibud Sa Katibawasan Multi-Purpose Cooperative

(Tibud SKMPC)

โ€ข Region 13: Casiklan Wheels Farmers Association, Inc. (CAWFAI)

and San Isidro Parish Binucavan Area Farmers Multi-purpose

Cooperative (SIPBAFAMCO)

โ€ข BARMM: Saint Mary of Downtown Farmers Organization, Inc.

The participation of these PGs highlights the success of the DA-PRDP in empowering rural communities, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

By bringing together farmers, cooperatives, and stakeholders, the bazaar showcases the programโ€™s tangible impact on improving livelihoods and boosting local economies.
