LOOK | In his speech as a keynote speaker of the Mindanao Communications Network (MINDACOMNET) entitled “Communicating the Vision of Bagong Pilipinas: The Role of IOs in Advancing the Development Agenda of the Administration,” Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Jose A. Torres Jr. highlighted the crucial function of information officers (IOs) in advancing development towards national progress.
“Our mission as information officers is more than just delivering messages; it’s about bridging the gap between the government and our kababayans. By effectively using technology, capturing the impact of government programs, engaging with our communities, and fostering coordination and collaboration, we can ensure that, sa Bagong Pilipinas, no one is left behind,” said Torres.
The Director General also expressed his gratitude to the IOs, who serve as partners to spread the government’s cause by enhancing the effectiveness of information sharing and reach.
