#FarmersDay | More than PhP 2.4 million worth of agricultural intervention from the Department of Agriculture was turned over to the farmers of the municipality of Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat, on February 15, 2024.
The interventions were turned-over to Mayor Randy Ecija, who was represented by Vice Mayor Rafael George L. Flauta III, during the “16th Coffee Festival” Farm Family Congress. The event is part of the celebration of the town’s 35th Foundation Anniversary and 23rd Sulok Festival.
Together with attached agencies and bureaus and other national line agencies like DTI and AFP and private sectors, stakeholders initiated different activities like tree planting, raffle draws, food processing training, and mass distribution of indemnity check handed by PCIC and distribution of coconut seedlings by the PCA to its beneficiaries.
The activity is also in partnership with the Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight, Mindanao Jurisdiction who led the food packs distribution,and the National Dairy Authority who led the ceremonial milk toasting.
