Aroman, Carmen, Cotabato – The National Dairy Authority (NDA), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) XII, held today the Launching Ceremony for the first-ever Dairy Nucleus Farm Project in Region 12.

The PhP51-Million facility, one of the key components of this project, is currently under construction at the Aroman Research Experiment Station in Aroman, Carmen, Cotabato.

This state-of-the-art facility is expected to significantly boost dairy production within the region.

As mentioned by Dr. Ryan Ysulat, the Dairy Nucleus Farm Project aims to provide livelihood opportunities for dairy farmers, enhance food security and nutrition, promote training and education and develop agri-eco tourism in the area.

In his talk, NDA Administrator Atty. Marcus Antonius Andaya said that this Dairy Nucleus Farm Project exemplifies the strong partnership between NDA and DA XII in advancing agricultural development in Mindanao.

“We are confident that this project will not only contribute significantly to the economic growth of Region 12 but also improve the quality of life for our farmers and their families,” Atty. Andaya added.

DA XII Regional Technical Director for Operations Zaldy Boloron, who represented DA XII Regional Executive Director Roberto Perales, also expressed gratitude for NDA’s continued support to dairy farmers. Director Boloron emphasized DA XII’s commitment to sustain milk production in SOCCSKSARGEN Region.

“This facility will serve as a catalyst for the growth of the dairy industry in Region 12. By providing farmers with the necessary knowledge, resources, and access to modern technologies, we empower them to increase their productivity and profitability,” said RTD Boloron.

The ceremony was attended by key officials from NDA, DA XII, the Provincial Government of Cotabato, the Local Government Unit of Carmen, and other stakeholders.
