National finalists for the Search for the Best Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Garden, Vergara Community Garden and Keisha’s Garden, both from General Santos City, represented Region XII at the Culminating Activity held at Southwoods Mall in Biñan, Laguna

National finalists for the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢-𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐍 and 𝐊𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐀’𝐒 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐍, both from General Santos City, represented Region XII at the Culminating Activity held at Southwoods Mall in Biñan, Laguna, earlier today.

Vergara Community Garden, an entry in the Microgarden Category, received a Special Citation for 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢-𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. Meanwhile, Keisha’s Garden, an entry in the Macrogarden Category, was awarded 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬.

Both gardens had previously won the Regional Best UPA Garden award, qualifying them for the national competition.

ATI-RTC XII, in partnership with DA-RFO 12 and the entire NUPAP Team, congratulates the two gardens for their significant contributions to urban gardening and thanks them for representing the region in this prestigious event.
