#CeremonialDistribution | The Department of Agriculture (DA) 12, under the guidance of Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales together with the Philippine Rice Research Institute (Philrice) Midsayap led by Dr. Sailia E. Abdula, kick-off its National Rice Program Ceremonial Distribution of Certified Rice Seeds, Fertilizer Discount Voucher amounting to more than PhP 18M on May 7, 2024 in Kabacan, Cotabato Province.
This initiative directly benefited more than 450 rice farmers, covering 20,000 hectares. The primary objective of the program is to advance the development and propagation of inbred rice seeds while strengthening the capacity of seed growers organizations, cooperatives and associations involved in the seed production sector.
Present in the said activity were the DA’s attached bureaus and agencies, local government officials of the municipality, and other line agencies.
