#ROAC2024 | To create awareness on Organic Agriculture among policymakers, academe, and other stakeholders, disseminate research findings and innovations on Organic Agriculture and to showcase Organic Agriculture produce and products, the Department of Agriculture 12 – Organic Agriculture Program conducts 9th SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Organic Agriculture Congress cum Regional Organic Natural Expo (RONEX) on 23-25 July 2024 in City of General Santos.
Organic practitioners and other stakehokders joined and shared their expertise, exchanged best practices, promoted sustainable and organic farming methods, and learn the trends in the organic agriculture movement in reinforcing the Organic Agriculture development initiatives.
The highlights of this event are the awarding of Organic Agriculture Livelihood Program to beneficiaries of OAP, signing of terms and conditions for the Participatory Organic Certificate to Participatory Guarantee System group and featuring success stories of organic farmers in the region.
“Together, let us strengthen our commitment to Organic Practices, support our local farmers, and work towards sustainable and prosperous Bagong Pilipinas,” as OIC-RTD John B. Pascual, DVM stated on his opening speech.
