#InPhotos | Over P1.2 million worth of Vermicomposting and Botanical Concoction Facilities was officially turned over by the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII (DA-RFO 12) to the Municipality of Surallah on June 27, 2025, at the Municipal Demo Farm in Brgy. Dajay, Surallah, South Cotabato.
Funded under the FY 2024 Organic Agriculture Program (OAP), the facilities are intended to serve as a learning hub and a production center for vermicast and botanical inputs. These aim to support organic farmers in strengthening their organic farming advocacy, thereby fostering a more sustainable and safer food option in the community.
Surallah Municipal Mayor Pedro M. Matinong, Jr., through Acting Municipal Agriculturist Josephine C. Portogalete, expressed his gratitude to DA-RFO 12 Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales for the agencyโs continued commitment to empowering communities with sustainable agricultural technologies.
