PhP64.9M PRDP IREAP subprojects gets approval from RPAB

Two subprojects funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project got an approval for funding from the members of the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) after presenting their project proposals during the board’s first meeting this year.

The proponent groups were Cotabato Mango Producers Cooperative (CMPC) proposed for the Cotabato Mango Producer’s Dried Mango Processing and Marketing Enterprise with an estimated project cost amounting to PhP36 Million and the Keytodac Coffee Growers, Inc. (KCGI) with their Green Coffee Beans Consolidation and Marketing Enterprise subproject with more than PhP28 Million.

During the presentation, the RPAB members deliberated and provided suggestions that were also accepted by the proponent groups until resolutions were reached.

“We need to be compliant. . . dili ta mahimong model kung dili ta magsunod sa mga patakaran. So, we would like to be that compliant with the government “, Daisy Amaca of CMPC said.

Crisanto N. Pascual of KCGI also said, “nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga different private and government agencies na from the start naka-alalay po sila”.

Zaldy Boloron, Regional Project Coordination Office 12 Deputy Project Director, presided the meeting and attended by RPAB members from DILG, DAR, DPWH, DENR, DTI, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)and Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC).

The RPAB is headed by DA-RFO 12 OIC-Regional Executive Director and RPCO 12 Project Director John B. Pascual. The funding and the implementation of these subprojects will be under the PRDP-IREAP Component.
