With a focus on diving deeper into their roles as storytellers, the PRDP InfoACE Capacity Building Workshop continued on the second day which aims to set standards and improve the quality of their outputs across all clusters.
The second day started with presentations from the North Luzon, South Luzon and Mindanao Clusters highlighting the collective accomplishments and key innovations and best practices of their InfoACE teams. This was followed by a discussion on challenges and ways forward to improve the performance and outputs of the respective teams.
After the business meeting, Adora Rodriguez, Alternate InfoACE Unit Head of the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), led the discussion on the production of newsletters and other print materials. Rodriguez emphasized the importance of producing quality articles and content packaged in appealing layouts to create a uniform look that will distinguish all of PRDP’s print materials. Her session ended with an assessment of the newsletters produced by the PSOs and RPCOs.
Meanwhile, Cheryl C. Suarez, NPCO InfoACE Unit Head, led the session on the standards to be adopted for news and feature writing. She stressed the importance of understanding the target audience and the consumers for better delivery of information through the materials produced by the InfoACE teams.
The second day of the series of workshops concluded with the presentation and critiquing of the Farmers and Fisherfolk Month AVPs which was the main output of the video production workshop on the first day of the capacity building activity. The produced videos will be scheduled for posting in the respective social media platforms of PRDP North Luzon, South Luzon and Mindanao.
With the upcoming conclusion of the Second Additional Financing and European union and the transition into the PRDP Scale-Up, the InfoACE Unit has a crucial role in conveying the success stories of farmers and fisherfolk and ensuring transparency in all the milestones and programs of DA-PRDP.
These face-to-face activities not only allows for the sharing of knowledge and best practices across the clusters, but also builds up the writers, videographers, and photographers that make up the InfoACE Unit to become the best storytellers for PRDP.
