#LOOK | PRIME Project Monthly Pest Bulletin for the month of February 2025
Pest Risk Identification and Management (PRIME) Project is a systemic pest monitoring program of the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with BPI, IRRI and PhilRice. It is designed to assist local rice farmers in pest forecasting and risk assessment.
This project integrates crop health assessment, design experiments, and information derived from satellite and drone images to identify risk factors of pest and disease outbreaks, map potential outbreak risks, and formulate integrated pest management strategies.
This monthly pest bulletin was being submitted by RCPC to the Regional Rice Program Focal Person, as well as to the different Municipal and Provincial Agriculture Office where the data gathered, so that they are updated by the status of rice fields within the region.
