#FeasibilityStudyOfKorea | Representatives from Climate Change Center and Saman Corp. of South Korea paid a courtesy visit to Department of Agriculture 12 OIC-Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Lorna Vilbar, Ph.D. earlier, in Koronadal City.

Funded by Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI), they have discussed their proposed project, “Building Climate-responsive Communities through deploying Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Effective Management of Cascading Rainwater Catchment Systems in Micro-watersheds”.

NbS is expected to trigger a shift from productivity enhancement-focused agriculture to sustainable agriculture harmonized with ecosystems and eco-system services.
The project will promote community-based ecosystem restoration and management in the watersheds to recover natural ecosystem functions for strengthened climate resilience.
For Mindanao River Basin, the priority municipality identified based from technical criteria set for the conduct of feasibility study is Norala, South Cotabato.
