#RiceProgramClustering | A Rice Program Farm Clustering Development Workshop was held in Koronadal City on September 10-12, 2024, and gathered farmer cooperatives and associations from Cotabato province with the goal of improving rice production in the region.
Organized by the Department of Agriculture (DA) 12, the workshop aimed to promote economies of scale by encouraging farm clustering, which would enhance farmers’ access to markets, financing, and investments.
As a major step towards sustainable agricultural development in Region 12, which is a key rice-producing area, the workshop is expected to foster more collaborative farming practices and create long-term benefits for the local agricultural sector.
The DA’s initiative aligns with its efforts to strengthen the national economy through the growth of the rice agriculture sector, making this event an important milestone in driving sustainable farming and ensuring the future prosperity of farmers in the region.
