As the saying goes, “Saging lang ang may puso”, rising young agri-preneurs – Rowell D. Tan and Trexie Marie Ortiz found their hearts in agriculture. Although they are not typical farmers, they don’t have land and crops, but their genuine interest and concern to help the local farmers in their community gave rise to their agribusiness, called RT Food Products Trading.
RT Food Products Trading is a start-up processing company. They initially manufactured specialty banana chips, but unfortunately, their records show lower yields and some parts of the banana are not used.
Though, this did not affect the cost of their banana chips but the fact that some parts were wasted makes them eager to produce another value-added product. And through their research and development, the young agri-preneurs decided to process the unused parts into Green Banana Flour.
