To strengthen food production and livelihood opportunities, t๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐-๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ (๐๐-๐๐๐๐) ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ distributed 420 heads of Ready-to-Lay (RTL) chickens to farmers’ associations in South Cotabato.
Three farmers’ associationsโMaltana Farmers and Fisherfolks Association in Tampakan, Lower Maculan Farmers Association in Lake Sebu, and Hnomi Farmers Association in Tboliโeach received 140 RTL chickens during the distribution held today.
The initiative, led by the Food Production and Livelihood Unit of DA-SAAD, aims to enhance the capacity of smallholder farmers to generate sustainable income through poultry farming. Inspectors, area coordinators, and SAAD personnel actively facilitated the activity, ensuring the smooth delivery of resources to beneficiaries.
By providing these livelihood inputs, DA-SAAD continues to uphold its mission of empowering marginalized farming communities, contributing to food security, and promoting economic resilience in rural areas.
