𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰 || SAAD farmers in Tboli and Lake Sebu undergo 2-day Organizational Management and Leadership Training
𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝟏𝟐 – 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐃𝐀-𝐒𝐀𝐀𝐃) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐈, has initiated a two-day organizational management and leadership training for farmers associations (FAs) in Tboli and Lake Sebu. The training is being held on July 16 to 17, 2024, at the Agua Frio Garden Resort in Koronadal City.
The training aims to enhance the leadership and management skills of the participating farmers, equipping them with the necessary tools to improve their organizational structures and agricultural productivity. The event is spearheaded by the Marketing and Enterprise Development (MAED) unit staff, with Mr. Sonny Esclamada, Organizational Development Officer for the Philippine Rural Development Project – Investments in Rural Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Productivity (PRDP-IREAP), serving as the resource person.
Mr. Esclamada enlightens attendees in organizational development and leadership, and his involvement underscores the commitment of DA12-SAAD to empower local farmers through capacity-building initiatives. This training is expected to foster stronger, more resilient farmers associations, ultimately contributing to the agricultural development and economic growth of the region.
Participants expressed enthusiasm about the potential benefits of the training, noting that the skills and knowledge gained would be crucial in addressing the challenges faced by their respective associations. The event highlights the continuous efforts of DA12-SAAD to support and uplift the agricultural sector in South Cotabato.
