The Department of Agriculture โ RFO XII, through Research for Development Division representative Engr. Ronald P. Montero, Senior Science Research Specialist, together with Engr. Edmichael Figueroa, Planning Evaluation Officer III from DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research conducted a series of coordination meeting, on-site monitoring, financial monitoring and post evaluation on different DA-BAR funded projects from October 7-11, 2024.
These activities were carried out to assess the status and accomplishment of various projects, as well as to determine whether or not the objectives outlined in the authorized proposals and progress completion reports were met. The DA-BAR reiterated that only partner institutions or agencies with no unliquidated obligation from completed studies are qualified for approval for next year’s proposal, based on the DA-BAR priority agenda. Additionally, all the remaining amounts will be reverted to DA-BAR after the end of the project duration, and the project duration is strictly for 1 year only.
The team visited various projects located in different areas across region 12. Amas Research and Experiment Station (AmRES), Kidapawan City, Cotabato; Balindog Research and Experiment Station (BRES); University of Southern Mindanao (USM) in Kabacan; Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) in Tacurong; Mindanao State University (MSU) in General Santos City; Tupi Research Outreach Station (Tupi ROS) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Regional Fisheries Research and Development Center (BFAR-RFRDC 12) respectively.
