Soil sampling and analysis is a valuable tool for farms as it determines the inputs required for efficient and economic production; identifies the nutrients in a fieldโs soil that are deficient or abundant; and helps choose the fertilizer strategy that will improve or maintain crops.
Salbuyan Organic Farmers Association (SALOFA), Lun Masla Small Farmers Association (LUMASFA), Samahang Mangbubukid ng Tuyan Association, Ugnayan ng Magsasaka sa Montilla Asosasyon (UMMA), Lun Masla Farmers Associations (LUMAFA), Mayo Farmers Association, Malfikat Agrarian Reform Farmers Association, and Sucob Highlanders Farmers Association participated the said activity.
Moreover, the program also discussed the function, importance and relevance to farming of Climate Information Services (CIS); an AMIA decision support tool weather advisory.
This initiative has been made possible through the strong partnership and support of the Local Government Units of Maasim and Malapatan, Sarangani; and Columbio, Sultan Kudarat together with the respective Offices of the Municipal Agriculturist.
