The DA 12 together with its attached bureaus and agencies, and local government officials brought various interventions to the IP-communites in Brgy. Laguilayan, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
OIC Regional Executive Director Sailila Abdula led the said outreach program and distributed hybrid corn and certified rice seeds, fertilizers, rodenticides, assorted fruit trees, organic fertilizer concoction, OPV vegetable seeds, organic fertilizer concoctions, food packs, milk products and biocontrol agents.
“Napakalaki ng pasasalamat po namin sa inyo dahil kayo na po mismo ang umakyat para makita ang sitwasyon ng mga IPs at magbigay ng mga proyekto sa amin,” said tribal leader Babing Dondoy.
A tree-planting activity and ceremonial milk toasting was also held during the program to mitigate the impacts of climate change and combat malnutrition among children.
