#PhilGAP | To address environmental, economic, and social sustainability dimensions for on-farm production and post-production processes, the Department of Agriculture 12 conducted a training on Philippine Good Agricultural Practices (PhilGAP) for rice and high-value crops farmers held in General Santos City today, July 26, 2023.

The activity was attended by various municipalities in Sarangani Province, including Maitum, Malungon, Alabel, Glan, Kiamba, and General Santos City.
Farmer-participants learned the crop production for PhilGAP certification, soil sampling and the importance of soil analysis, proper application of fertilizer, safe and judicious handling of pesticides, elements of the four modules of GAP, record keeping and traceability, and PhilGAP certification process flow.
