#TurnOverofBARProject | A DA-BAR funded project that will support the coffee industry and sustain the Region 12’s coffee production was turned-over by the Department of Agriculture 12 and Bureau of Agricultural Research today, October 17.
Dr. Sailila Abdula, DA 12 OIC-Regional Executive Director and concurrent BAR OIC-Director, led the turn-over ceremony held in City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.
The project “Commercialization of Clonally Propagated Robusta Coffee for Increased Production in Sultan Kudarat” is worth more than PhP4.8-million. This was given to four beneficiaries; the Masiag Farmers Association, Inc., Limulan Coffee Farmers Association, Tinalon Farmers Association and Kalamansig Municipal Nursery.
Bureau of Plant Industry-National Seed Quality Control Services also awarded the plant nursery accreditation and plant material certification to the said recipients.
