The Department of Agriculture RFO XII, through the National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP), has successfully conducted another two-day training on “Package of Technology training on Livelihood Opportunities for Black Pepper Production” from June 26–27, 2024, at Paraiso Verde Hotel and Resort, Koronadal City, and Brgy. Kipalbig Tampakan, South Cotabato at Pales Farm LSA.

The training was attended by representatives of our community garden sites, the City Agriculture Office of Tacurong City, the City Agriculture Office of Koronadal City, KNHighSchool-Koronadal, MSU-General Santos from the College of Agriculture Faculty Staff, and private partners.

This hands-on training has provided essential skills and in-depth knowledge based on the experience and expertise of our resource speaker, equipping our participants with extensive information to increase local production and knowledge for market opportunities and the value-adding products made from black pepper.

We appreciate each and every one of the attendees participation, and we hope that this will open the door for more efforts in black pepper production in the region.
