DA-PRDP Mindanao Cluster warmly welcomes their new PSO Mindanao Project Director, Macario “Bong” D. Gonzaga.
In concurrent capacity as the Regional Executive Director for the Department of Agriculture XI, he will lead the completion of the AF2-EU subproject implementation and accelerate the compliance of pipeline subprojects under PRDP Scale Up across Mindanao.
Affectionately referred to as “Bong,” Director Gonzaga brings with him a wealth of experience, managerial competence, and wide network and strong collaboration with Local Government Units and other government lines agencies, having previously served as the Assistant Director of Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Region XI and as Regional Director of LTO XII before transitioning to his current position within the Department of Agriculture.
“From land transportation to agricultural transformation, I know there is so much to learn but coming from a farming community in Magpet, North Cotabato I also have something to share as I know the sentiments of our farmers as well as the vast potentials of Mindanao being the country’s food basket,” he said.
Through Special Order No. 577 signed by DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. on April 23, 2024, Director Gonzaga will also serve as the Project Director of the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project.
